Southern Spain: A Pilgrimage into the Golden Age of Andalusia
This pilgrimage explores the "Golden Age of Spain." From 711 – 1236, Andalusia, often referred to as "The Ornament of the World," was renowned as a cultural and intellectual center where Jews, Muslims and Christians lived and worked side by side.
The spiritual riches of Ireland await you in what many call "the best time of year in the Irish countryside." After the tourists have gone and the Irish people settle into their fall routines, the inner riches of this remarkable landscape open up to the thoughtful visitor. We begin our pilgrimage in Co. Meath in the historic Boyne Valley, travel to the western seaside town of Sligo, down the west coast to the Dingle peninsula, winding our way through the center of Ireland to Glendalough, the valley of the two lakes.
October 10 – 20, 2017 Full (waiting list)
This adventure is especially designed for those who want to experience the historic Camino de Santiago and learn about the spiritual practice of pilgrimage but don’t have the time or the physical training to walk “The Way” in its entirety. Exploring the most beautiful churches and most evocative landscapes along the Camino, we will walk and ride our way to the great cathedral city of Santiago. As we go, we’ll discover the beauty of the Spanish countryside in the region of Navarra, the riches of Spanish food and wine in the region of Rioja,
and the Celtic culture of Galicia.
