Brad Berglund, seen here exploring an early stone dwelling on the Dingle Peninsula, is an experienced tour guide.

An author, spiritual director and retreat director, Brad has completed the program for spiritual direction at the Shalem Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. Currently he holds two positions: Director of Illuminated Journeys, an organization devoted to the spiritual deepening of individuals and churches, and Director of Reinventing Sunday, an ecumenical ministry that offers worship consulting, worship renewal seminars, and workshops on Taizé-style worship. He enjoys working with church musicians, pastors and worship committees throughout North America.

Brad's family includes his wife, Rita, and their two children, Brandon and Brianna.

A personal note: The devastating diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor in Brad's four-year-old son brought a new understanding that all of life is pilgrimage, a journey into the unknown. The pain, unexpected joy and depth of that experience became an odyssey of the heart for the whole family and eventually led Brad to this work as a pilgrimage director.
